Raffle Outfits, Part 3

Daddy John: In 2024 I won the Sasha Festival Seed Money Raffle.  The prize was a Gregor, whom I named Chance Victor, and 36 separate outfits representing different U.S. states.

At first, I had planned on dressing only Chance Victor in the outfits but as I redress my boys maybe twice a year, I realized it would take me forever to get through even half of the raffle clothes.

I've finally shared the outfits out amongst my Gregors (nicknamed the 'Terrific Ten') and will present them across the occasional blog post.  Today, we have the third set of 5.

I was able to talk Noah Conrad into something other than his usual overalls. Here he is modeling the outfit for South Carolina:  A red t-shirt from world famous Señor Frog's Mexican restaurant chain and sea-shell patterned shorts donated by Sheila F.  Perfect for wandering the beach.  ¡Olé!

Diego Luis is dressed in this rather fine Gilded Age inspired collection for Rhode Island, as donated by Cynthia H.  It came with a very cute pair of knit booties.

It's bedtime and Nicholas Sahara and Scot-Michael are wearing these Alabama pajamas by Pamela Jo T.  Nicholas is wearing pjs with an elephant pattern, while Scot-Michael's are red gingham.  Once again, Cynthia H. knitted some slippers to accompany.  Sweet dreams!

Rounding out this week's fashion show, Kirwan Mahoney looks bovine in this t-shirt and pants combo that can only represent Wisconsin!  Outfit made by JoAnn ⭐.

Kirwan Mahoney: Knock-knock!
Noah Conrad: >Sigh< Who's there?
Kirwan: Interrupting cow.
Noah: Interrup--
Kirwan: MOOOOOO!!!!

International Gregor of Mystery

BR and Pete Dakota are outside, practicing their soccer moves.

BR: Arrrrgh!  I don't know how those guys in Liverpool do it!

Pete Dakota: I know!  They make it look so easy.
I can't look down the field and kick the ball at the same time.

?: It's called the pitch, Pete.  Always scan the pitch.
Look around before you receive the ball to find space to pass to your teammate.
Pete: That's a good tip.  I'll try that.

?: And BR, you want to use the inside of your foot with your toes
pointing up for close passes.  Like this.
BR: Like this?
?: Perfect! And keep your back leg solid on the ground.

BR: Who was that guy?
Pete: I've never seen him before!

The next morning...

Nicholas Sahara: ♫♫ Dum-dum-dum-dummmm ♫♫

Nicholas: Good morning, Scout!  Fancy a cuppa?
Scot-Michael: >Yawn< Best idea all day.

Nicholas: Bother...where did I put the creamer?
?: Here it is.  Allow me.
Nicholas: Lovely. There's a good chap.

?: Also, we're out of marmalade.  Might I suggest grape jelly for your toast?
The sweetness of the jelly will pair well with the Earl Grey.
Nicholas: Oooh, scrummy!
Scot-Michael: Lay on some toast, Nickels!

Scot-Michael: Who the heck...?
Nicholas: Haven't the foggiest!

Just WHO is that helpful, knowledgeable boy?
STAY TUNED!

School For the Sneaky

Holly Belle: Don't you just love this new dress?  I think it looks stunning on me!

Harriet: How on earth did she snatch that up so fast?
It literally just arrived in the mail!

Pamela: I've heard that she's been getting some instruction from Frank.
Harriet: Frank??  What does he know about fashion?
Pamela: Oh, nothing, obviously, but he's very good at getting things he wants.
Just substitute a dress for a cheeseburger and you'll understand what I mean.

EARLIER...

Frank: It's very important to keep your eyes peeled for incoming loot.
I use binoculars to watch for Daddies John and Steve on their way back from grocery shopping.
You'll also need to keep a lookout for the postie.
Holly Belle: Oooh, good point.

Frank: Sometimes you need to create a distraction.
Just say, loudly, that someone's at the door and they'll all go running.
Everybody's extremely nosy in this house.
Holly Belle: Aren't nosy people just the worst?

Frank: You can always go over to the fuse box and pull out one of these.
Say that there's been a power cut, and in the ensuing chaos you can grab anything you want.
If you're questioned later on, just say you didn't want anything in the fridge to spoil.
Holly Belle: Not sure that would work for a dress or shoes, but I'll keep it in mind.

Meghan: I've got to hand it to you on scoring that new dress.
I'm actually a bit envious.
Holly Belle: It was all due to Frank.  That boy's a genius, in a devious sort of way.
He only looks dumb.
Meghan: Who would have guessed?
