Poker Buddies (A Gregoropolis Sasha Festival)

While the girls enjoy themselves at their celebration (see last week's post), the boys have their own party.  A quartet has split off to train for the Sasha World Poker Tour...

Marco: Okay, mis amigos, I open with five.

Scot-Michael: Five it is.

Benjamin Roy: I see your five and raise you five more.

Frank: Yellow, 8!

Marco: Ay, Francisco, we are playing poker, not UNO.
Frank: Oh, yeah, duh.

Frank: How do you play poker?

Soon, after a quick tutorial, reshuffle, and a few bets...

Marco: Moment of truth, amigos.  Show your cards.

BR: Two pair: black Aces and Eights.
Marco: ¡Ay Caramba!  ¡El mano del muerto!  The Dead Man's Hand!
Quick, what is your kicker?!

BR: Uh, Queen of Hearts...?
Marco: La reina del amor; gracias a Santa Maria.  She breaks the curse.  >whew<

Marco: I myself have la casa llena.  A full house, sixes over fours.

Scot-Michael: Bah, I only had a pair of nines.
FRANK!  What are you doing?

Frank: Aren't we playing strip poker?

love this! A wonderful post, love all the boys and their playing styles, I'm sure Frank would have been paying more attention if they'd been betting with food!
But I did love the ending lol

Poor Frank, he is always about a half bubble off level, isn't he?! They certainly do take their cards seriously!

Funny post - lol! I've known how to play poker for many years but did not know about the dead man's hand or else forgot. Getting older will do that, you know.

My boys were so excited to hear there's a Sasha world poker tour! They say they'll have to learn the rules quickly.
Wonderful photos! How did you make the cards stay upright?
