Advent 2024: Day 7: Miranda and Randall

Randall: Our turn for the advent calendar!
Miranda: Oh, I hope the door is easy to open and
the prize is easy to put together!
Randall: Why?
Miranda: Strenuous exertions will cause my beautiful ponytails
to come undone.  I simply can't have that.

Randall: I, uh, see.  Well, here's the door.
On the bottom and on the edge.  No exertions needed.
Miranda: >Whew!<

Randall: And look--I don't think there's anything
we'll need to assemble either.

Miranda: It's a little kitty and his food bowl.
And a rather large fish.  Hope you're hungry, kitty!

Miranda: How do they look?
Randall: Not a stray hair in sight.
Miranda: >Whew!<
Auntie Pat spent so much time getting them just right.

Miranda: There.  Kitty and the puppy can enjoy
their dinners in the kitchen.
Randall: Speaking of food, I wonder if Uli's
got any Christmas cookies ready.

Elias: We call him 'Weihnachtsmann' in German.
Gino: Mio Dio, that is a mouthful.  'Santa Claus' it is!
Elias: >smirks<  If you say so, heh.

Gino: Can you see our window for today?

Elias: Yep, here it is.  This one looks a bit tricky.

Gino: You weren't kidding, amico.
Elias: If we put our heads together, I'm sure we'll get it.

Elias: Well?

Gino: It's a boat.

Elias: And a remote control.
Gino: A remote-controlled boat.
Elias: Huh.

Elias: I don't see a pond or anything,
so I guess we'll put in the house?
Gino: Buona idea!  Someone will find it under the Christmas tree.

Advent 2024: Day Four: Lara and Pete Dakota

Lara: Hi Pete, where's your shadow BR?
Pete: He's busy writing a letter to Santa.
He's asking for new motorcycle gear.
Lara: Typical.  Look, the door for today is up by that chimney.

Pete: Don't say "chimney" too loud or Nathan will go on another
rant about how a fat Santa can't fit down a skinny chimney.

Lara: Oh yes, I almost forgot about that.
It appears that our prize might be a skateboard!

Pete: You're right, it's a skateboard and helmet.
But no skateboarder?
Lara: Maybe the snowboarder trades off.

Lara: We'd better leave the skateboard outside.
Pete: Yeah, Daddy Steve won't have a skateboard
in the house for any reason.

Advent 2024: Day Two: Mabel and Meredith

Mabel: We're M&Ms!
Meredith: Do you think we'll have to pay a royalty to the Mars Company?
Mabel: Hah!  They should be paying us!
Meredith: >Ha-ha!<

Meredith: This looks quite nice.  Can you see the door for today?
Mabel: Yes, it's just over there, near you.

Meredith: Oh, I see it! Right between the two houses.

Meredith: Oh my.
Mabel: What is it?
Meredith: I...have no idea.

Mabel: 'Oh my' is right.
Spread the pieces on the rug and we'll figure it out.

Mabel: Some sort of drill?
Meredith: Perhaps for ice fishing?

Mabel: But there's no pond or lake for fishing.
I guess we can put it next to the snowboarder.

Meredith: I don't know.  If an ice drill is in any way Christmassy,
I'll eat my bow!

Advent 2024: Day One: Chance Victor and Rachel

Can it be?  It's that time again!

As usual, we're using the Holly Belle-approved™ Lego City Advent Calendar.

Rachel: Hi, I'm Rachel.  I'm new.
Chance Victor: And I'm new, too!
Rachel: And we're both red heads.
Chance: Gingers Unite!
Rachel: >Tee-Hee<

Chance: Well, there's the '1' door.
Would you like to do the honors?

Rachel: Why, thank you!
I wonder what the little figure will be?

Chance: Looks like there a number of pieces.
Although, I think it's a person--I see a little head.

Rachel: Watch out!  The head is rolling away!
Chance: Whoops!  Come back here, you.

Rachel: A snowboarder.  Isn't that clever?
Chance: I've got a snowboard, too.
Rachel: Now all we need is some snow!

And we're off!
