The Donkey Knows More

Daddy Steve: Here in Gregoropolis, we are big fans of garden ornament--tasteful ornament, of course.  Although that's all in the eye of the beholder.

Daphne: No pink flamingos around here, thank you.

Recently, we set out a metal donkey that had belonged to my mother.  He had been stored away for many years and was looking pretty shabby.  A coat of 'Hunt Club Green' spray paint revitalized him.

Barbara: He looks very smart.
Beatrix: Who says "it's not easy being green"?

Rhoda: So what's the donkey's name?
Mikko: We named him Hoetie.
Rhoda: Huh? What kind of name is that?
Tyler: As in 'Donkey-Hoetie'!

Tyler and Mikko: HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!!!!

Mikko: We were going to name him 'Kong'.
Tyler: That he would be 'Donkey --
Rhoda: Yeah, yeah, I get it.
Mikko: But we went with the more literary choice cuz it's classier.

Rhoda: >Snort< And you two are all about class.

Marco: A-E-I-O-U,
¡El burro sabe más que tú!

Holly Belle: Oh, a love poem in French!  How beautiful!
Marco: It's Spanish, actually.
Holly Belle: Whatever.

Paul David: She can be a bit clueless, can't she?
Marco: Sí, amigo, totally clueless.

someone should tell the boys that puns are the lowest form of humor...which is why I love them so much! Hoetie is a handsome fellow in his fresh green paint! Now he's camouflaged and able to sneak up on people better!!

I love Hoetie , he is a donkey of character and sometimes a little humour in the garden works well. Those boys are such jokers, which although puns can make you roll your eyes , they can also make you smile. Holly Belle is a special child in many ways

Cheery story, and love both the donkey and name chosen. 😘
