Advent 2021, Day 7: Gino & Uli

Uli: <Grumble, grumble< Ach, I do not haff time for this.  There is much

dusting und cleaning to be done before holiday decorating.

Gino: I'm sure you can spare a minute or two?  By the way, that's a lovely dress.

New, isn't it?

Uli: >Tee-hee< Danke!  Ja, it is new.

Gino: (Ah, Gino--you can wrap the ladies around your little finger!)

Gino: The signorina may choose; I insist!

Uli: Danke.

Uli: Was ist...?

Gino: Mamma mia!  It is the signpost for the Leaky Cauldron pub!

Gino: There we go; all set and ready for customers!

Uli: Das ist gut.  Now I must get to the cleaning.

Gino: Well, be careful you don't dirty up that pretty dress!

Uli: >Tee-hee< 

Advent 2021, Day 6: Stephen Orange & Scot-Michael

 

Stephen Orange: Oh, hello Scot-Michael.  Where's your shadow?

Scot-Michael: Nickles?  He and Kurt are posing for Christmas photos in their new lederhosen.

Stephen Orange: Ah.

Scot-Michael: As long as you're here, would you like to open today's Advent door with me?

Stephen Orange: I guess so, sure.

Scot-Michael and Stephen Orange: Oops!

Scot-Michael: Sorry!  You go ahead.

Stephen Orange: No, no, my bad.  You open it.

Scot-Michael: Tell you what; I'll open the door 

and you can open the package and put it together.

Stephen Orange: Deal.  It's a person, but...

Scot-Michael: But what?

Stephen Orange: But he has a curly pig tail!

Scot-Michael: Oh, that means it must be Harry's cousin Dudley.

Hagrid gave him that tail in the first book, remember?

Stephen Orange: I remember that Dudley was very naughty.

Scot-Michael: Serves him right, ha-ha.

Stephen Orange: Yes, well.  I'd never want a pig's tail.

Scot-Michael: Be a good boy and you'll never get one!

Stephen Orange: Humph.  I am always a good boy.

Advent 2021, Day 5: Mikko & Tyler

 

Mikko: Let's open today's Advent calendar prize!

Tyler: Uh, ok, sure.

Mikko: What's wrong?

Tyler: Do you think we were good enough for Santa this year?

Mikko: Of course we were.  

>Ooof, come out of there, you<

And if we weren't, Santa wasn't there so he don't know nothing.

Tyler: But what about that thing with the noodles?

Oh, cool!  It's a little birthday cake.

Mikko: That was back at the beginning of the year; 

I'm sure he's forgotten about it by now.

Tyler: You're right, and anyway nobody can prove it was us.

Mikko: That's the Christmas spirit!

Advent 2021, Day 4: Lulu et Emile

 

Lulu: Bonjour, Emile.

Emile: >Sigh<  'Allo, Lulu

Lulu: Will zere be a watering can in ze calendar, do you zink?

Emile: Non.  No watering cans in ze 'Arry Potter.

Emile: Zere ees the door.  Would you care to open eet?

Lulu: Merci, but non.  Eef zere is no watering cans, I am not interested.

Emile: >Sigh< She ees zingle-minded, zat one.

Lulu: But what can zese be?  

Emile: I zink they are implements for ze fireplace, no?

'Arry, 'e gets 'is mail via the chimney and zat ees a shovel and sweeper.

Lulu: Avec un petit wreath for ze 'earth.

I will bring ze water can in case of ze fire.

Advent 2021, Day 3: Rhoda & Wesley

 

Wesley: There it is, up on top.

Rhoda: I've got the door open, but what is it?

Wesley: Oh, wow. Sure are a lot of little pieces.

Wesley: There we go, just about all put together.

I think it's supposed to be a fireplace.

Rhoda: I'm glad we got this one and not some of the dumber kids.

Wesley: Rhoda!

Wesley: There you go, right by the nice area rug.

Rhoda: I wonder if Santa ever gets rug burns...

Advent 2021, Day 2: Charles & Nicholas Sahara

 

Nicholas Sahara: Lovely.  Now, who's this Harold Otter chap, then?

Charles: Harry. Potter.  I thought Blake lent you all the books to read.

Nicholas: Er, well he did, yes, but dear Peter was so insistent that I read his 

cowboy-western series first that I simply haven't gotten to them yet.

Charles: >Sigh< Well, let's open the calendar.

Nicholas: This is smashing.  There's the door for today, right in the middle!

Have at it, Buckaroo.

Charles: Buckaroo? Hey, cool!  I think it's Harry his own self!

Nicholas: Oh, my giddy aunt, really?

Charles: There, he's all put together.

Nicholas: And we'll place him here, right by his little street sign.

Advent 2021, Day 1: Blake & Holly Belle

 Daddy John: Blake, Gregoropolis's #1 Harry Potter fan, is over the moon about this year's advent calendar.  Alas, someone else is less enthralled...

Blake: Yes, yes, yes, yes, oh YES!

Holly Belle: Hmph.  At least it's better than last year's dreadful race cars.

I really must insist that Daddies take me along when shopping for next year's calendar.

Daddy John: This year we have got Lego!  

Harry Potter: Journey to Hogwarts.

Blake: Here's the first door!  I wonder what's inside?!

Holly Belle: Hmph.

Holly Belle: Well, what is it?

Blake: Looks like the signpost for Harry's address, Privet Drive!

Holly Belle: Hmph.  Well, it was thoughtful of the Lego people to mark out 

where it goes on the play map.

We're off and running!  Here's hoping this keeps the kids occupied 'til Christmas!
