Advent 2021, Day 14: Kaveh & Ann Marie

 

Kaveh: Hey!  We match!

Ann Marie: I'm pretty sure that's a sign we should open today's door.

Kaveh: Makes sense to me.

Ann Marie: Here's the door, right on the end.

Kaveh: What is it?

Ann Marie: We'll know when we've snapped it together.

Ann Marie: Why, it's Harry's gold bars and coins treasure!

Kaveh: You know, Harry Potter, the true treasure is the friends

you made along the way of your adventures.

Ann Marie: Whatever, Kaveh.

Ann Marie: Now, if we put the vault door in front of the treasure...

Ann Marie: Then we put the goblin and his key in front of the vault door...

Kaveh: It looks like the goblin has opened the vault for Harry!

Well-reasoned, Ann Marie.

Ann Marie: Not just a pretty face.

Advent 2021, Day 13: Valerie & Duncan

 

Duncan: What if we can't find the day? What if there's nothing behind the door?

What if some pieces are missing, or we can't figure out how to put them together?

Valerie: Good Grief, this is meant to be fun, you know.

Duncan: >Sigh< At least I found it.

Valerie: Careful, it might explode!

Duncan: Aaahhh!

Valerie: Kidding!

Duncan: I'm not sure what it is--there is an awful lot of pieces.

Valerie: It's a vault door!  How cool; the door swings open and closed.

Valerie: How about that.  Not a missing piece or even an explosion in sight.

Duncan: >Whew!< I'd've hated to report mission failure to Rhoda.

Advent 2021, Day 12: Daphne & Dan Ryan

 

Dan Ryan: So, ma'am, ready to open today's door on the Advent calendar?

Daphne: First of all, I'm going to ignore the whole 'ma'am' thing because I know

that secretly you're madly in love with me and that's the only way you can keep it in check.

Dan Ryan: Wait, what?!?

Daphne: Never mind.  I'll open today's prize.

Dan Ryan: Nice job, ma'am...er, Daphne.

Daphne: I heard that.  Let's get to putting it together.

Daphne: It's the cart the goblins take to get to the underground

bank vaults.  >Sigh< I'm starting to sympathize with Holly Belle.

Dan Ryan: The cart goes here, on the track on the play mat.

So, tell me ma'am, why doesn't Holly Belle like the Advent calendar?

Does she have something against Harry Potter?

Daphne: She likes Harry Potter well enough.  She was just a bit miffed that 

Dads bought the calendar without consulting her first.

You know Holly Belle; she likes to be in charge!

Dan Ryan: Or at least think she is.

Daphne: Yeah, that too.

Advent 2021, Day 11: Logan & Frederick

 

Logan: Wouldn't it be fun to open all the doors?

Frederick: That would be kind of naughty!

Logan: Well, maybe.  But it would still be extremely fun.

Frederick: The other kids wouldn't like it one bit.

Logan: Only because they didn't think of it first.

Frederick: Umm, let's just stick with today's door.

Logan: Alright, alright.  Have it your way.

Frederick: I think it's a goblin!

Logan: What's the key for?

Frederick: It's to open the bank vaults.

Logan: He looks like he knows how to have fun...jut sayin'.

Frederick: >Sigh< We'll place him at his teller desk.

Logan: You know, one day I'm going to get us into trouble 

and you're going to love every minute of it!

Advent 2021, Day 10: Barbara & Beatrix

 

Beatrix: Say, Barbara, I just love your outfit!

Barbara: Thank you!  Yours is beautiful!

Barbara: And here's the little prize for today.

Beatrix: Hmmm, I think I see how all these pieces fit together.

Barbara: Well, that was a snap!

Beatrix: Oooh!  Nice pun, sweetie!

Barbara: It's a teller's desk from Gringotts Bank.

Beatrix: But where is the teller?

Barbara: I guess he quit because he lost interest!

Beatrix: >Hee-hee!<  Oh, Barbara!

Advent 2021, Day 9: Luke & Oliver

 

Luke: Hey, it's our turn for the Advent calendar!

Oliver: I hope we get something fun.

Oliver: Um, this doesn't look good.

Where's the door for day 9?!

Luke: >Whew!<  Here it is; it was hidden by the sign.

Both: AAAAAHHHH!!! So many pieces!

Luke: Oh, yeah, go on.  Make it look easy...

And a considerable amount of time later...

Oliver: Man, and we're only halfway done!

Luke: I think we're agreed that we say nothing to Rhoda.

Luke: It's the wall door to Diagon Alley!

You can make it look like a solid wall...

Oliver:...Or that it's magically opened!

Advent 2021, Day 8: Ravi & Patrick

 

Ravi: Well, Patrick, what do you think of the whole Harry Potter thing?

Patrick: Oh, it's alright, but I don't think much of the curriculum

at that Hogwarts school.

Ravi: Why not?  >Ah< Here is the door for today!

Patrick: They need to offer more STEM courses.

Patrick: Well, what do we have here?

Ravi: I think it's a table with a couple of steins and a flagon.

Patrick: Ready for some butterbeer.

Ravi: I agree with you about the STEM courses.

Patrick: Also, some of those instructors frankly seem a bit dodgy.

Ravi: Put it next to the Leaky Cauldron sign.

Patrick: I wonder if that school is even accredited.
