Advent 2021, Day 21: Meghan, Daisy, & Bowie

 

Meghan: Darn, I was hoping we would pick Hermione

Daisy: I think she's a real role model for girls everywhere.

Meghan: They really should have been called the Hermione Granger books.

She was a lot smarter than either Harry or Ron.

Daisy: Amen, sister.

Bowie: I thought we were going to open today's window, 

not go off on a feminist rant.

Meghan: Hmph. Just pointing out some facts.

Daisy: Go on, then.

Bowie: Ok, I will.  Here it is.

Bowie: I wonder what all this mess is?

 Meghan: Despite the number of pieces, this looks easy!

Bowie: Go on, then.

Daisy: Ok, we will!

Daisy: There we are!  

Meghan: A dining table from Hogwarts's great hall.

Bowie: Hmmm...

Bowie: If you like a dinner of pumpkin, a baguette, and cherries.

Advent 2021, Día 20: Marco y Miguel

Miguel: ¡Hola amigo!  Are you ready to find today's sorpresa?

Marco: ¡Hola! ¡Sí, vámamos!

Marco: Hmmm...¿Dónde está?

Marco: ¡Buena suerte!  Here it is, en el fondo del calendario.

Miguel: ¡Bravo!  Es la señorita Hermione.

Miguel: ¡Ja, ja! The girls will be disappointed they didn't

get to find this one.

Marco: Qué será, qué será.

Miguel: Here she is, la bonita pequeña bruja.

Marco: ¡Los tres amigos!

Advent 2021, Day 19: Kevin & Anika

 

Kevin: >Sigh< We really should have been the ones to find 

that particular prize.  Just sayin'.

Anika: Yes, we really should have.
Yet another cross our lot has had to bear.

Kevin: That being said, this is a rather nice 

Advent calendar.

Anika: And I am admittedly kind of excited about what

prize today's door will reveal.

Kevin: Something connected to Platform 9¾?

Anika: Wow, that's a lot of pieces!

Anika: You were right--it's a signpost for the platform.

Kevin: We'll put our hero next to the signpost.

And Harry, too, I guess.

Advent 2021, Day 18: Ezra & Alice

 

Alice: Oh, goodness me.  You're sure it's okay for us to open today's door?

Ezra: Why not?  Like they say: It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.

Alice: Oh, ah, I'll have to think about that...

Ezra: Well while you're thinking, give that door a tug, will ya?

Ezra: Oho!  We've got another member of Team Potter!

Alice: It's Ron Weasley!  And another chocolate frog!

Ezra: Hah!  The ginger kids will be soooo jealous that we picked Ron.

Alice: Oh dear...I hope they won't be upset.

Ezra: Pffft...all's fair in love, war, and Advent calendars.

Advent 2021, Day 17: Frank & Marta

 

Frank: I'm hoping there will be chocolate truffles behind today's door.

Or maybe toffee?  Or maybe fudge, or maybe...

Marta: Frank, it's not that kind of Advent calendar.

Frank: Oh, I guess I'm...well, whatever.

Marta: >Sigh< Just open the door.

Frank: Oh sure, be right behind the cake.  

The calendar is teasing me.

Frank: Huh, it's a...er...well...

Marta: >Sigh< Let me see.

Frank: Nope, nothing to eat there.

Marta: >Sigh< I can put it together.

Marta: It's the cart Harry uses to transport his stuff at the train station.

Marta: We'll put Hedwig, the book, and the ticket on the cart.

Now Harry looks like he's ready to go to Hogwarts!

Frank: Yeah, great.  Y'know, I'm sure I saw some candy canes

in the kitchen.  Be right back...

Marta: >Sigh<

Advent 2021, Day 16: BR & Pete Dakota

Pete Dakota: Hi, um, interesting holiday outfit there.

BR: Cut me some slack; I was at the workbench, working on my motorcycle.

I'll change into something more Christmassy later.

BR: Sorry, the winterizing is not going as smoothly as I'd hoped.

I'm a little frayed.  Hi back.

Pete: It's okay.

BR: So, what day are we anyway?

Pete: We're Day 16.  There's the door; by the church.

Pete: Aw, it's just a collection of things. Nothing to snap together.  Drat.

BR: Well, after the day I've had, that's probably a good thing.

Let's see what we've got...

Pete: It's Harry's owl Hedwig, a ticket to Platform 9¾, 

a wizard trading card, and a chocolate frog.

BR: Let's place Hedwig with Harry on the Gringotts cart.

Pete: And we'll leave the other items here. I'll bet Day 17 is something related.

BR: Only 9 days 'til Christmas, buddy!

Pete: I can't wait!

Advent 2021, Day 15: Rolf und Pamela

 

Rolf: Erm, Herr Potter?

Pamela: No, Rolf, it's Harry Potter.

Rolf: Ach, Herr E. Potter.

Pamela: Uh no, it's...oh, never mind.

Rolf: I open door?

Pamela: Ja--I mean, yes.  Please open the door.

Rolf: Meine Güte!

Pamela: It looks easy enough to put together.

Pamela: There we are.

A book, Harry's wand, and a wand box.

Rolf: I haff no idea vhat these are.

Pamela: Maybe you and Nicholas should read the series together.

Rolf: We put down on number 15 on play mat.

Pamela: Whoever gets to open Day 17 will add to this scene, it appears.

Rolf: Now we drink the hot schokolade, ja?

Pamela: Ja. Best idea all day.
